Mr. Walton is a graduate of the International College of the Cayman Islands, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, cum laude. He has been a Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society member since 2016. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Customs Executive Management from the Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council in partnership with the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies at the University of Canberra in Australia.

With over three decades of experience in law enforcement, Mr. Walton began his career with the then Her Majesty's Customs in 1987. This organisation merged with the legacy Immigration Department in 2019 to form the current Customs and Border Control Service (CBC). He is currently the Senior Deputy Director of Customs, responsible for strategic leadership and management of a large team of officers and support staff.  Mr. Walton also leads CBC’s modernisation programs and technology development projects, overseeing a team of software developers, business analysts, and trade and tariff compliance professionals.

He is experienced in Policy Formulation and Implementation, Strategic Planning, Budget and Resource Management, Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Stewardship Reporting, Risk Management Analysis, Compliance and controls Monitoring, Operations Management and consulting, Global Business Operations/International Trade, and Change Management. During his employment, he has served on various internal committees and government boards.
