Notaries Public Invited to Share Views on Proposed Reforms
All Notaries Public registered in the Cayman Islands have been emailed a survey link from the Portfolio of Legal Affairs, Cayman Islands Government, inviting them to comment on proposed changes to the Notaries Public Act (2023 Revision), which govern their service
What We Do
The Portfolio of Legal Affairs is directed by the Attorney General. The Office of the Attorney General is constituted by Section 56 of the Cayman Islands Constitution Order 2009, under which the Attorney General is appointed as the principal legal adviser to Government and Parliament. The Attorney General is also an ex-officio Member of Parliament and Cabinet. The Portfolio of Legal Affairs is comprised of the following Departments: Solicitor General’s Office, Legislative Drafting Department, Law Reform Commission, Law Revision Commission, Truman Bodden Law School, Financial, and Reporting Authority.
